Man Arrested in Connection to Fatal Triple Shooting in Jersey City

Jersey City, New Jersey – Authorities have arrested and charged a 36-year-old man in connection with a triple shooting that resulted in the death of one man and left two others injured.

The Hudson County prosecutors have identified the suspect as Joseph Del Valle, a resident of Hoboken. Del Valle is facing a range of charges, including murder, weapons offenses, and assault. The incident took place on March 9 around 6:30 a.m. on Jordan Avenue, just a few blocks away from a high school near McGinley Square.

Tragically, 33-year-old Christoph Terrero Marte, a resident of Jersey City, lost his life in the shooting. Two other individuals, a 28-year-old from Union City and a 31-year-old from Jersey City, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Del Valle was apprehended at an address on Summit Avenue in Jersey City and is currently being held at the Hudson County Correctional Facility awaiting his initial court appearance.

In a related development, authorities also arrested Francisco Salcedo, a 42-year-old Jersey City resident, on charges of aggravated assault and weapons offenses. Salcedo was taken into custody on March 11 at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office in Secaucus.
