Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – A man in Oklahoma City is behind bars following a disturbing attack on three women in the city’s Plaza District. The violent incident, captured on camera outside a bar in the early hours of a Friday, has left the community shaken. One of the victims had to be rushed to a local hospital for urgent medical attention.

Authorities released a harrowing video of the assault, depicting two unsuspecting women walking near northwest 16th and Gatewood Avenue before being targeted by the assailant, identified as Adam Hartico, 33. Oklahoma City Police Department Sgt. Dillon Quirk expressed disbelief over the unprovoked nature of the attack, stating, “It’s unclear why exactly he chose to do this.”

In the video footage, Hartico is seen forcefully bringing the victims’ heads together before delivering another blow to one of them as she lay defenseless on the ground. Despite the swift actions of two bystanders who attempted to intervene, the suspect managed to flee the scene.

The victims recounted sustaining head injuries and memory loss from the brutal assault. Court documents revealed the extent of their injuries, with one woman suffering a broken nose and significant facial bruising and swelling from the vicious attack.

Local business owners near the Plaza District shared their shock upon viewing the video, highlighting the horrifying nature of the incident. Meanwhile, Rachael Leonhart, Executive Director of the Plaza District Association, issued a statement expressing sympathy for the victims and their families and calling for increased investment in mental health resources to prevent such senseless attacks in the future.

Thanks to the diligent investigative work of law enforcement, Hartico was swiftly identified and apprehended. He now faces charges of two counts of aggravated assault and battery and one count of assault and battery for his reprehensible actions.

Prior to the attack on the three women, Hartico had also reportedly targeted another woman in a Plaza District parking lot, attempting to pull her out of her vehicle in a separate incident earlier that day. The community is left grappling with the aftermath of these violent acts, emphasizing the ongoing need for measures to enhance safety and support in the city.
