Man Accused in Joliet Mass Shootings Found Dead in Texas

JOLIET, Ill. – A man wanted in connection with a shooting that left nine people dead in Joliet, Illinois, has been found dead himself. Romeo Nance, 23, was located by US Marshals in Natalia, Texas, and is believed to have taken his own life following a confrontation with local law enforcement officials.

The bodies of seven people were discovered in two homes on West Acres Road, where Nance lived. The victims’ names, genders, and ages have not yet been released by the authorities. Additionally, a person with a gunshot wound to the head was found the night before at a separate location.
