Philadelphia, PA – Federal and local investigators are working to determine the cause of an explosion that occurred in a West Philadelphia apartment, leaving a man with a severe hand injury.
The blast took place at approximately 12:45 a.m. at an apartment located at 45th and Larchwood streets. Philadelphia police investigators confirmed that the explosion originated from inside one of the units.
As a result of the explosion, a man sustained a severe hand injury and was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to the police.
