Investigations Underway as Multiple Deaths Occur Across Central Virginia in Less Than Two Weeks

CHESTERFIELD, Va. – A string of unexpected deaths have struck Central Virginia, leaving police with multiple investigations over the course of less than two weeks, most of which are connected to incidents that took place in homes.

During the morning of Monday, Nov. 27, Henrico Police responded to the 11000 block of Little Five Loop where two deceased individuals were found inside a home. They were identified as father Albert Moody, 70, and his son Malcolm Moody, 38. According to family member Monica Ware, the two were remembered for their impact on their families and community.

More than a week later on Thursday, Dec. 7, two individuals were found deceased inside a home on New Kent Road, according to the New Kent County Sheriff’s Office. Similarly, two more people were found deceased in a home in Chesterfield County the next day. Chesterfield Police confirmed that no foul play was involved in that incident.

As of Sunday, Dec. 10, authorities have not made any arrests or released further updates on these incidents, emphasizing that investigations are ongoing. Henrico Police stated that an upcoming update was expected on Monday, Dec. 11 related to the shooting on Fairfield Avenue.

These sudden deaths across multiple jurisdictions underscore the urgency of these police investigations, as well as the impact of these tragedies on the local communities.
