Indian Student Brutally Attacked by Armed Robbers in Chicago, Raising Concerns About Safety for Indian Students in the US

CHICAGO – The recent violent attack on Indian student Syed Mazahir Ali in Chicago has sparked concern in India. Ali was severely injured after being attacked by four armed robbers near his residence. A video of the aftermath, in which Ali can be seen bleeding, went viral on social media.

In the video, Ali can be heard describing the attack, stating that he was returning home with food when he slipped and was assaulted by four individuals. The incident has drawn attention to the security risks faced by Indian students in the United States, with several cases of violent attacks and mysterious deaths reported in recent times.

One such case is that of Vivek Saini, a 25-year-old Indian student who was killed by a drug addict at a convenience store in Georgia. Additionally, 19-year-old Shreyas Reddy Beniger was found dead in Ohio, and Neel Acharya was discovered deceased on the Purdue University campus. Another Indian-American student, Akul Dhawan, was found dead outside the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

These tragic incidents have raised concerns about the safety and well-being of Indian students studying in the US.
