Hindu Pilgrims Describe Terrifying Ordeal During Reasi Terror Attack

Reasi, India – Survivors of a recent terror attack in Reasi, India, recounted their harrowing ordeal as they were targeted by terrorists while on a bus journey to Vaishno Devi from Shiv Khori. The attack resulted in the deaths of nine people, with 33 others sustaining injuries. The passengers faced continuous gunfire even after their bus plunged into a deep gorge, forcing them to play dead to survive.

One survivor shared, “After visiting Mata Vaishno Devi, I went to Shiv Khori. On our way back, about 4-5 kilometers from Shiv Khori, our bus was fired upon. Even after our bus fell into the gorge, the firing continued. The driver was shot, and many passengers were injured in the attack.”

Another survivor described the terrifying experience, stating, “I went for darshan at Shiv Khori. While returning, our bus was attacked. The bus fell into a ditch, and several people were injured. The terrorists kept firing even after the bus fell. I believe there were 2-3 terrorists. My son saw a man shooting at our bus from behind.”

Authorities confirmed that the attackers showed no mercy, aiming to eliminate every passenger on the bus. The relentless firing post the bus’s fall into the gorge underscored their brutal intentions. Survivors faced a traumatic scene where playing dead was their only chance of survival amidst the onslaught.
