Heartbroken Girlfriend Shares Memories of Aussie Surfer Brothers Slain in Mexico Robbery

Tijuana, Mexico – The heartbroken girlfriend of one of the Australian surfer brothers tragically killed in a botched robbery in Mexico shared her devastating emotions on social media. Emily Horwath, a San Diego resident, expressed her shattered heart in the wake of the deaths of Callum Robinson, 33, and his brother Jake, 30, along with their friend Jack Carter Rhoad, 30. The bodies of the three surfers were discovered at the bottom of a 50-foot well in Baja California, Mexico.

In her poignant Instagram posts, Horwath shared intimate moments captured with Callum, including embracing photos and affectionate captions. The heartbroken girlfriend also revealed videos of the couple dancing and enjoying life, as well as an emotional voicemail left by Callum.

The tragic incident unfolded during a trip the brothers and their friend took to the city of Ensenada on April 27. Chief state prosecutor Maria Elena Andrade Ramirez detailed how the perpetrators targeted the surfers for their vehicle and accessories, resulting in a fatal confrontation. The suspects reportedly burned the surfers’ tents before disposing of their bodies in a nearby well and covering it with boards.

Authorities have arrested suspects in connection with the disappearance of the three surfers, although murder charges have not been filed. The investigation revealed a fourth decomposed body at the scene, believed to be the remains of a missing rancher who owned the property.

Amid the grief, Horwath’s Instagram posts also included a GoFundMe link for the brothers, which has garnered significant support. The tragic loss of the Australian surfers has not only shocked their loved ones but has also left a community mourning the senseless violence that claimed their lives.
