Fredericksburg Police Arrest 21-Year-Old Suspect in Armed Robbery Case at Kwikcheck

FREDERICKSBURG, Texas — Authorities in Fredericksburg Police Department arrested a 21-year-old man late Wednesday night. Awes Singko Rapet was taken into custody after detectives received a tip that he was staying at a local motel. Officers and deputies with the Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office executed the arrest warrant and search warrant, taking Rapet into custody without incident and finding evidence inside the motel room.

Rapet is currently being held at the Gillespie County Jail. The Fredericksburg Police Department expressed gratitude to the community for their assistance in identifying Rapet and determining his whereabouts. According to the department, the suspect entered the Kwikcheck off South SH-16 around 11:45 Tuesday night, wearing a white skull mask and firing his weapon while demanding money. The arrest of Rapet was the result of the community’s cooperation and the diligent work of law enforcement.

The swift action by the Fredericksburg Police Department and the Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office led to the apprehension of the suspect, with the department expressing appreciation for the community’s support. Rapet is facing charges related to the alleged armed robbery and is currently detained at the county jail awaiting further legal proceedings.
