Hawthorne, California – A tragic shooting incident near a strip mall in Hawthorne early Sunday resulted in the death of one woman and left five others injured. Los Angeles County sheriff’s Lt. Arturo Spencer confirmed that one man was in critical condition, while four others were in stable condition, with no information available on their ages and cities of residence as of midmorning Sunday.
The cause of the gathering at the strip mall and the motive behind the shooting remain unknown, according to Spencer. The shooting took place at the strip mall, resulting in six people being struck by gunfire. Police responded to a call of gunshots on Crenshaw Boulevard at 12:27 a.m. Sunday and discovered a man with gunshot wounds. Firefighters transported the man to a hospital, where he was listed as being in stable condition.
Subsequently, it was revealed that there were additional victims who had been taken to surrounding hospitals. Tragically, one of the victims succumbed to her injuries at the hospital, although her identity has not been released by the medical examiner’s office. As of now, detectives have not been able to gather a description of the suspect or suspects.
