Family Massacre in Bihar: Three Gunned Down by Relatives in Horrific Crime

Patna, Bihar – In a tragic incident in Bihar’s Bhagalpur district, a family of three, including a one-year-old girl, was killed by their own relatives on Tuesday afternoon, the police reported.

The horrifying crime took place in Navtolia village under Gopalpur police station at approximately 4:30 pm, according to officials. The victims have been identified as Chandan Kumar, 40, his wife Chandni Devi, 30, and their daughter Roshni Kumari.

Sushant Kumar Saroj, the SP of Naugachia, stated that the suspects, who are the father and brother of Chandni, are currently on the run after committing the heinous act. “We have formed a team led by an officer of SDPO rank to apprehend the culprits. Raids are currently being conducted,” he said.

Chandni had a love marriage with Chandan in 2021, which led to ongoing conflict with her father Pappu Singh and brother Dhiraj Singh. To make matters worse, Dhiraj arrived with a firearm and shot the couple, as well as the one-year-old Roshni, who tragically died on the spot.

In the wake of this senseless violence, the community is mourning the loss of Chandan, Chandni, and Roshni, and seeking answers as to why such a devastating act was committed. The authorities are working diligently to bring the perpetrators to justice and provide closure for the grieving family and community.
