Family Identifies Woman Killed by Husband in Alpaugh, Donations Accepted for Funeral Services

ALPAUGH, Calif. – Tragedy struck in Alpaugh, California, as a woman named Melissa Long was killed by her husband on Monday, according to information provided by her family on a GoFundMe page.

The incident occurred on Jan. 29 when Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a disturbance call at the 5400 Block of Ellis Road in Alpaugh just before 5:00 p.m. Subsequently, a woman with gunshot wounds arrived at a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Following the investigation, detectives arrested the woman’s husband in connection with her death, as confirmed by family and friends.
