Elderly man accidentally causes fire in Clarkesville that destroys shed and trailer

Upon arrival, Alexander estimated that approximately three-quarters of an acre were affected by the fire. It was later discovered that an elderly man had accidentally fallen into a burn pit while burning trash in the driveway. Fortunately, the man was assisted by EMS crews and left uninjured. The fire was eventually contained and extinguished, but not before causing extensive damage to a storage shed, cargo trailer, and a golf cart on the property.
