Dundalk Wawa Parking Lot: Man Accused of Raping 12-Year-Old

DUNDALK, MD – In Dundalk, a disturbing case has emerged as a man is accused of raping a 12-year-old girl in a local convenience store parking lot. Jason Arnold, 20, was arrested following the incident, which occurred shortly after his release from incarceration for similar offenses in Harford County.

The Baltimore County police have reported that the crime took place in a secluded area behind the store on North Point Boulevard. Community members have voiced their alarm and concern for the safety of their children.

Arnold allegedly connected with the victim through Snapchat, deceiving her about his age. The girl left her home on Monday night to meet Arnold, who drove her to the location of the alleged crime.

Investigators claim that Arnold initiated unwanted advances before forcing the girl into sexual acts, despite her attempts to resist. Following the incident, Arnold returned the girl to her home, where she confided in her family.

Dr. Courtney Fischer, a criminology expert, warns about the risks posed by social media platforms, which can be exploited by predators to target young individuals.

The investigation revealed that Arnold had encountered the girl a day prior to the incident. Her brother’s quick thinking to document Arnold’s license plate played a key role in the police’s ability to track him down.

This case has left the Dundalk community shaken, with many residents calling for increased vigilance and monitoring of children’s online activities to prevent such occurrences.
