The Vilnius District reported five hypothermia cases, whereas Kaunas documented 16 incidents linked to the severe weather. The majority of those affected are elderly individuals, as well as those living on the streets or under the influence of alcohol, highlighting a vulnerable segment of the population that is particularly at risk during such extreme weather conditions.

In neighboring Latvia, the cold has been even more severe, with temperatures plummeting to minus 32 degrees Celsius in Daugavpils, marking the lowest temperatures recorded since February 2012.
