Daughter’s TikTok Resurrects Allegations in Infamous Detroit Murder

DETROIT, MI – A TikTok video posted by the daughter of a slain Detroit stripper has reignited long-standing allegations surrounding one of the city’s most infamous unsolved murders.

Ashly Jackson, the daughter of Tamara Greene, uploaded a video on the popular social media platform detailing her beliefs about the motive and circumstances behind her mother’s murder. The video has garnered nearly four million views.

The case revolves around the death of Tamara Greene, who was killed in a drive-by shooting months after a rumored 2002 party at former Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick’s Manoogian Mansion. Jackson alleges that her mother, also known as Strawberry, was having an affair with Kilpatrick at the time.

Speculation suggests that Kilpatrick’s wife assaulted Greene at the party, leading to a violent confrontation. Months later, Greene was fatally shot while sitting in a car with her boyfriend. Allegedly, the gunfire came from a .40 caliber pistol, which was a standard-issue gun for Detroit police officers.

With the case still unsolved, Jackson has spoken out over the years, seeking justice and accountability. Despite various theories and allegations, no one has been charged with Greene’s death.

The episode drew national attention when the popular podcast “Crimetown” covered Greene’s death in 2019. The family’s legal battle to prove that Kilpatrick obstructed the murder investigation was dismissed in 2011 due to lack of evidence.

Despite the challenges, Jackson continues to seek answers, expressing frustration at the lack of progress in the case.

The case remains one of the most notorious unsolved murders in Detroit history, leaving unanswered questions about Greene’s death and the events leading up to it.
