Charged: 18-Year-Old Faces Murder Charges in Houston Shooting Incident

HOUSTON, Texas – A murder charge has been filed against an 18-year-old male in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred during an attempted robbery in Houston last December. Larry Holmes, 18, of Houston, Texas, faces charges in the 184th State District Court for the shooting of 16-year-old Edwin Quinones at an apartment complex on Elgin Street.

Quinones was found with multiple gunshot wounds inside an elevator at the complex. Houston Police Department officers responded to the shooting call after security officers reported hearing gunshots. Quinones was found deceased in the elevator by Houston Fire Department paramedics.

The investigation revealed that Quinones was attempting to commit a robbery when he was shot during a struggle in the elevator. Witnesses reported seeing two males fleeing from the elevators, believed to be in their late teens to early 20s. Further investigation identified Holmes as an accomplice to Quinones and he has been charged for his involvement in the incident.
