Brothers Arrested in Ontario Shooting Death, Face Murder Charges

ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA – Two brothers are in custody and facing charges in connection with the fatal shooting of a 43-year-old man in Ontario earlier this week.

Authorities were called to the 300 block of West C Street on Tuesday after reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by paramedics from the Ontario Fire Department, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Ontario Police Department, the victim had been engaged in a verbal altercation with two men, later identified as Michael Castillo, 18, and Daniel Castillo. The situation escalated, leading to one of the brothers pulling out a gun and fatally shooting the victim before fleeing the scene.

Both suspects were apprehended the following day around 7:15 p.m. and taken into custody at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga. Michael Castillo is facing charges of first-degree murder, while Daniel Castillo is facing charges for being an accessory after the fact.
