Arrest made in fatal shooting of Woodlawn High School senior, two others wanted for questioning

Shreveport, Louisiana – Law enforcement officials have made one arrest and are actively seeking two additional suspects in connection with the tragic shooting death of a 17-year-old Woodlawn High School senior, Artavious Prim, just days before his scheduled graduation.

The Shreveport Police Department launched an investigation into the incident, which took place on May 1 in the 800 block of W 70th Street after receiving reports of a shooting. Prim was rushed to a local hospital in a private vehicle but sadly succumbed to his injuries after arrival. The coroner’s office confirmed his identity.

Authorities have identified Bryson Turner, 20, who drove Prim to the hospital, as a person of interest. Turner was taken into custody for obstruction of justice after reportedly being uncooperative with investigators. Additionally, detectives have named Marcus Brown, 28, and DeAndre Daniel, 28, as individuals wanted for questioning in connection with the shooting.
