Akron Bounty Hunter’s Remarkable Recovery

AKRON, OH – Franklin Frazier, the renowned bounty hunter known as “Bounty Tank,” has made a triumphant return home after a grueling four-month hospital stay. Frazier, 38, who has been in the bail bonds business for 15 years, faced a life-threatening situation when he was shot while attempting to capture a fugitive with a felony warrant.

The incident occurred during a nighttime operation, and despite wearing a bulletproof vest, the bullet narrowly missed Frazier’s heart. “I felt the impact and immediately tried to stop the bleeding,” Frazier recounted, vividly remembering the fear and thoughts of his family that surged through him.

Frazier, a Cleveland native with a substantial following from his TV show, views his survival as nothing short of miraculous. “They didn’t think I’d pull through,” he admitted, giving thanks for the chance to continue his life. His recovery journey has been intense, involving five surgeries, and he faces another operation to remove a kidney this summer.

Despite initial doubts about his mobility, Frazier is defying expectations by walking and aims to start jogging soon. His determination is evident as he strives to regain his former strength and mobility.

The legal outcome of the shooting remains complex. Amos Coleman, 18, identified as the shooter, was not charged with the shooting due to a self-defense ruling. However, Coleman faces legal trouble for illegal firearm possession, linked to a past juvenile conviction for assault. Frazier, while accepting the legal decision, is focused on his recovery and future.

This traumatic experience has strengthened Frazier’s bonds with his family, notably with his mother and daughter. “It brought us closer,” he reflected, grateful for the newfound closeness despite the adversity.

As for his career, Frazier is contemplating his next steps. “Right now, it’s easy to say no to returning, but once I’m better, who knows?” he pondered, leaving the door open for a potential return to his profession.

Coleman is scheduled for a court appearance in February regarding the gun charge. The case remains open to further developments should new evidence emerge.
