After-Hours Altercation at Hartford Party Leaves Two Dead, One Injured: Police

HARTFORD, Conn. – Two individuals were discovered deceased in a home on Saturday morning following an overnight party, according to Hartford police. The police received a report of gunfire just before 5 a.m., leading officers to the residence on Garden Street. Upon arrival, officers located a large after-hours gathering that had taken place in both the basement and upstairs of the home.

During the investigation, police found three adult male victims, two of whom had died. The third victim was transported to a local hospital to receive treatment for a non-life-threatening injury. It was determined, based on preliminary information, that an altercation occurred in the basement of the home, resulting in two individuals firing shots. One of the shooters was among the deceased individuals, while the other remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Authorities identified the deceased suspect as 36-year-old Adrian Easterling of Hartford, and the deceased victim as 26-year-old Akeem Williams of Hartford. Following the initial gunfire, the second shooter shot the first shooter, with police believing it was an action taken to prevent further gunfire. Hartford Police Lt. Aaron Boisvert noted that this incident marked the fourth homicide of the year.
