Antwan and Anthony Terry were arrested in Minnesota and face murder, robbery and kidnapping charges in Nevada.
LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Two men accused in a deadly robbery at an east Las Vegas business had histories of felony convictions and prison sentences before authorities arrested them in Minnesota this week, according to Nevada court records and police.
Antwan Terry, 36, and Anthony Terry, 38, were arrested Oct. 27 in St. Paul in connection with the Oct. 15 killing of 45-year-old Reynaldo Rodis II. Las Vegas police allege the men were involved in a robbery at a business complex in the 3400 block of East Flamingo Road, near South Pecos Road. Rodis was shot after investigators said he tried to intervene in the robbery.
The two men were booked into the Ramsey County Adult Detention Center pending extradition to Nevada. Police said each faces an open murder charge with use of a deadly weapon, four robbery counts involving a deadly weapon, four first-degree kidnapping counts involving a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery. The charges are allegations, and the men have not been convicted in the Rodis case.
Nevada records reviewed by 8 News Now show Antwan Terry had several previous convictions. He was convicted in 2025 on narcotics possession and battery charges and received jail time and probation. Records also show an earlier conviction for battery with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, which resulted in a prison sentence. He also had a prior attempted burglary conviction.
Anthony Terry also had an extensive record before the latest allegations. He was arrested in 2023 on accusations that included child sex trafficking, child abuse and kidnapping involving a victim younger than 14. The case later ended with convictions for pandering and living from the earnings of prostitution under a plea agreement. He was ordered to register as a sex offender and served time in prison.
Records also show Anthony Terry had convictions dating back more than a decade. In 2009, he was convicted on charges that included illegally carrying a concealed firearm and attempted robbery. Earlier convictions from 2005 included conspiracy to commit a crime, coercion and prisoner escape. Those earlier cases were separate from the October killing now under investigation.
Investigators allege the fatal encounter began when several men entered the East Flamingo Road business intending to rob it. Police said Rodis confronted the group and lunged toward one of the suspects. He was shot during the confrontation and died at the scene despite efforts by responding officers to provide aid.
Arrest-warrant accounts provide additional details about the investigation. Police allege the group targeted marijuana kept inside the business complex and forced employees to help collect property during the robbery. Surveillance footage, witness interviews and information provided to investigators were used to identify Anthony and Antwan Terry as suspects, according to reports describing the warrants.
The men were located in St. Paul less than two weeks after the killing. A St. Paul police incident report cited by 8 News Now said neither man was armed when taken into custody and neither resisted arrest. They were detained on Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department warrants while Nevada authorities prepared for the extradition process.
Rodis’ family has described him as a third-generation boxing promoter and businessman. Relatives said he had a 19-year-old son and operated several businesses. His death prompted vigils and calls from relatives for those responsible to be held accountable.
Investigators have said additional people were involved in the robbery, and the investigation remains active. The arrests of Antwan and Anthony Terry move the case into its next legal stage, but prosecutors will still have to prove the allegations against them in court after they are returned to Nevada.
