Akron, Ohio – A tragic incident unfolded in Kenmore on Thursday afternoon, resulting in the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old man identified as Javeone Aamir Suggs by the Summit County Medical Examiner. The Akron police have taken action by charging another individual involved in the shooting with murder and aggravated robbery.

It was revealed that the shooting stemmed from an attempted robbery during a marijuana transaction. Allegedly, a 30-year-old man was selling marijuana to Jovante Dowdell, 22, and Suggs when Dowdell and Suggs allegedly attempted to rob the dealer, resulting in the dealer firing shots at both men.
Fortunately, Dowdell only suffered a minor injury as a bullet grazed his leg. However, tragically, Suggs was struck in the chest and succumbed to his injuries. The police have identified the 30-year-old shooter as a victim in this case and have not charged him in the shooting. Nonetheless, he faces charges related to trafficking marijuana.
