$1,000 Reward Offered for Information on Fatal Shooting of Woman in Shoreline

Shoreline, Washington – The King County Medical Examiner has determined the death of BillyJo Kaufman Perkins a homicide, attributing it to multiple gunshot wounds. Crime Stoppers is now offering a $1,000 reward for any information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrator responsible for the killing of the 50-year-old woman in Shoreline.

Deputies from the King County Sheriff’s Office were called to Ballinger Homes, a low-income housing complex on 22nd Avenue and NE 201st Place, following a report of a person found injured around 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 18. Despite their efforts to save her, Perkins succumbed to her injuries.

Jim Fuda, the executive director of Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound, expressed his dismay over the incident, stating, “Somebody knows who did this… A 50-year-old female out at night, I’m assuming unarmed, is a gun downed victim. It’s not right.” He urged anyone with information to come forward, assuring that even seemingly insignificant details could prove valuable to the investigation, and advised people to check any surveillance cameras they may have.
