DUBBO, New South Wales – A tragic incident involving a car and a bus led to the death of a man and injuries to multiple individuals in the New South Wales Central West following a police pursuit related to a domestic violence incident. The pursuit initiated after officers responding to the situation recognized the man driving the car on the Mitchell Highway.

Authorities reported that the man, suspected to be 32 years old, fatally collided with a bus after veering into the oncoming lane following the termination of the pursuit. The man’s identity remains unknown pending formal identification. The police pursuit was prompted by a domestic violence incident allegedly occurring earlier that morning.

In a fortunate turn of events, the bus driver’s swift “evasive action” likely prevented further casualties among the passengers. Emergency personnel swiftly responded to the scene, with twenty-six passengers being evacuated from the bus by Fire and Rescue NSW.
