Juvenile Suspect Apprehended in Fatal Drug Deal Shooting in Chester, PA

Chester, Pennsylvania – Police in Chester, Delaware County, have arrested a juvenile suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old Chester Upland School District student during a drug deal that went wrong. The victim, Sabrie Pierce, 17, was a junior at Chester High School.

Authorities reported that the incident occurred at around 8:11 p.m. outside a Chester apartment complex located on Madison Street. Pierce had arranged to meet individuals in a car for a drug transaction when a gunman approached the vehicle, engaged in conversation, and then shot Pierce twice in the chest.

Following the shooting, the suspect and an accomplice fled the scene, taking the drugs involved in the deal. Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer expressed condolences to the families impacted by the tragedy, emphasizing the ongoing work to address gun violence in the area.
