Fort Worth Man Charged with Murder After Admitting to Killing Wife in 911 Call

Fort Worth, Texas – A Fort Worth man is facing murder charges after confessing to the police that he shot his wife. The tragic incident unfolded on April 19, when authorities responded to a call about a deceased person at the couple’s residence on Whitman Ave. Upon arrival, officers discovered the lifeless body of 34-year-old Kristlynne Robertson wrapped in a blue tarp in one of the bedrooms.

The victim, known to her loved ones as Kristle, was described as a loving mother of five who had a passion for country music, video games, and crocheting. Her family shared that Kristlynne and her husband, Christopher Robertson, had known each other since kindergarten and attended the same school near their home.

Christopher Robertson, 33, confessed to police that he shot his wife and expressed a desire to be incarcerated, as detailed in the arrest warrant. The investigation revealed that it was Christopher’s brother who made the grisly discovery upon returning home from a trip, finding Kristlynne’s body after noticing a peculiar odor emanating from his brother’s bedroom.

Authorities reported that Kristlynne sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the left side of her face. Following the discovery of the body, Christopher called 911 to admit to the crime, stating that his father-in-law would seek retribution for his actions.

The suspect surrendered the weapon used in the shooting to law enforcement and has a history of violence, having previously been arrested in 2017 for making threats against family members. Despite warnings from Kristlynne’s family to leave her husband due to his violent tendencies, the tragic outcome could not be averted.

Currently held on a $100,000 bond at the Tarrant County Corrections Center, Christopher Robertson awaits trial for the murder of his wife, leaving a community in shock and mourning the loss of a beloved mother and sister.
