Florida Hospital Director and 4-Year-Old Son Fatally Shot in Tragic Incident at Chase Bank Drive-Thru

Miami, Florida – A tragic incident unfolded at a Chase Bank drive-thru in Miami when a hospital director and her 4-year-old son were fatally shot by the woman’s ex-boyfriend. The victims were identified as Odalys Maria Bancroft, 43, and her son Theodore Couto, 4. The suspect, Michael Andres Pineda Lozano, 41, then turned the gun on himself, according to Miami-Dade police.

Authorities revealed that a sergeant who was nearby responded swiftly to the sound of gunshots and discovered Bancroft and her son deceased inside their minivan. Pineda Lozano was found lying on the ground near the passenger side of the vehicle. The shooting left the community in shock and mourning.

Following the tragic event, Jackson Health CEO Carlos Migoya shared in an internal memo that Bancroft held the position of director of regulatory affairs within the health network.
