Houston, Texas – The Houston Police Department discovered a deceased individual when responding to two separate shooting incidents within 16 minutes and less than half a mile apart on the city’s southeast side. The incidents occurred on Wednesday evening in the South Acres/Crestmont Park area, where officers were alerted to wounded individuals at two distinct locations.
According to HPD, the initial call came in at 7:23 p.m. regarding a shooting at 5540 Selinsky Road. Subsequently, at 7:39 p.m., another call reported a separate shooting at 5599 Cedarburg Drive. At the Selinsky location, officers found a young Black male deceased from gunshot wounds and a 16-year-old male who had been pistol-whipped.
Witnesses informed authorities that a white Nissan had fled the scene. This vehicle was later located at the Cedarburg Drive location, where another injured person was found. Emergency responders transported this individual to the hospital; however, their condition remains unknown at this time.
