ORLANDO, FL – An Orlando family is grappling with the devastating loss of three loved ones, including a five-year-old boy, following a tragic wrong-way collision in Osceola County. The crash occurred on Sunday afternoon, leaving a community in mourning as authorities work to unravel the circumstances surrounding this heart-wrenching incident.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a 30-year-old man driving a pickup truck headed south in the northbound lanes of Cannonsville Road. This resulted in a head-on collision with a Toyota RAV4, causing the SUV to veer off the road and overturn.
Authorities have identified the victims as 34-year-old Pragathi Reddy, 56-year-old Sunitha Parumala, and a five-year-old boy, also named Parumala. Tragically, the two women were pronounced dead at the scene, while the young boy succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.
The driver of the SUV and a nine-month-old baby in the vehicle sustained only minor injuries. Remarkably, the pickup truck’s driver also survived with minor injuries. As of now, no charges have been filed against him.
