KEY LARGO, FL – The tranquil allure of Key Largo was shattered when a vacationing couple stumbled upon a ghastly discovery: the body of a woman hidden in their resort room’s closet. The shocking incident unfolded at the Omare Dive Resort, transforming the idyllic location into the site of a homicide investigation.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as Naen Tilman, 43, who had been brutally murdered and concealed in a closet by Dylan Lamb, a 33-year-old local kayak tour guide. Lamb’s confession to detectives painted a grim picture of the events that led to Tilman’s death.
According to Lamb, he and Tilman met through an escort service and arranged to meet at the resort. After a disagreement over payment for services, Lamb admitted to striking Tilman, causing her to fall and fatally injure herself. Instead of seeking help, he panicked and hid her body.
In a disturbing series of events, Lamb used linens to clean the scene and left the evidence in trash bags, which resort staff later discarded without notifying the police. The room was subsequently rented out to new guests, who were unaware of the hidden body.
Tilman’s disappearance raised alarms among her loved ones, prompting law enforcement to investigate. Deputies located her car at the resort and, upon further inspection, found her lifeless body in the closet, bearing signs of a violent struggle.
Lamb was arrested at his workplace, mere miles from the crime scene, with Tilman’s belongings still in his possession. He now faces multiple charges, including homicide and kidnapping, as the community reels from the tragic events that unfolded in their midst.
