Violent Drive-By Shooting Claims Life of Man in East Bronx, Another Injured in Incident

EAST BRONX, New York – Tragedy struck late Sunday in East Bronx as a potential drive-by shooting claimed the life of one man and left another injured, reported the NYPD. The incident occurred on Ely Avenue around 10:50 p.m. Authorities found a 29-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his head and a 40-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his left leg.

Both victims were rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where unfortunately, the 29-year-old man succumbed to his injuries. Police revealed that several suspects fled the scene in a gray Honda Accord following the shooting.
