HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Jose Plata has been arrested and charged with Capital Murder in the deaths of two teens on Jan. 31. The victims, Edgar Campos-Bonilla and Davis Caballero, both 18 years old, were allegedly shot and killed by Plata while they were driving near Spring.
The teens were found dead inside a vehicle on Wednesday night after deputies responded to reports of a crash in the 5900 block of Paloma Drive. The car had run off the roadway, and both victims were unresponsive and suffered from gunshot wounds. They were pronounced dead on the scene.
