Two recent suspicious deaths in Oklahoma City have been ruled as homicides by the state medical examiner, according to the Oklahoma City Police Department. No arrests have been made in either case.
The most recent investigation began on Wednesday, leading police to the City Inn motel on Southwest 44th Street near Robinson Avenue. An employee at the motel discovered the deceased person inside a room, prompting a call to the police. The victim was found in room 105, leaving both employees and residents feeling uneasy in a place that was once considered safe.
Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the city, police are seeking answers in the death of 38-year-old Ira Spells. Initially, it was thought that Spells had been hit by a car and died, but the medical examiner’s findings revealed something more sinister: injuries consistent with homicide.
