Fort Worth, Texas – Tragedy struck on Thanksgiving Day here in Fort Worth as two individuals lost their lives and three others were left injured in a series of shootings, local authorities reported on Friday.
The violence unfolded in two separate incidents, both of which are believed to be connected, according to the Fort Worth Police Department. The first incident occurred in a residential neighborhood and resulted in immediate fatalities. The second episode, occurring shortly after and within close proximity, left three people with injuries, their conditions ranging from stable to critical.
Police were dispatched to the scene following reports of gunfire Thursday afternoon. Upon arrival, officers found a chaotic scene with two victims deceased. The swift response from emergency services ensured the three injured were quickly transported to a nearby hospital.
Authorities have identified a suspect, believed to be connected to both shootings, and have taken him into custody. The suspect’s name and possible motive have not yet been released as the investigation remains ongoing.
