Police indicated that a white SUV, carrying four individuals, was involved in the chase, navigating through several roads before heading south on I-79. As the situation escalated, the vehicle lost control around mile marker 9.5 on I-279, ultimately flipping off the roadway.
During this chaotic scene, police reported that shots were fired. One passenger from the SUV sustained critical injuries and later succumbed at the hospital.
