Los Angeles, California – The tragic deaths of Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner have shaken their family and the community, following their discovery stabbed to death in their home on December 14. Nearly a week later, their bodies were returned to the family after an autopsy was conducted by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
The medical examiner’s office confirmed that both individuals suffered “multiple sharp force injuries,” with their deaths ruled a homicide. A comprehensive report detailing the circumstances surrounding their deaths is expected to take up to 90 days to complete.
Sources indicated that their daughter, Romy, was the first to find her parents, who were both in their seventies. Rob, aged 78, and Michele, 70, were last seen the evening prior at a holiday party hosted by talk show host Conan O’Brien. Witnesses revealed that during the gathering, the couple had been involved in a heated argument with their son, Nick.
Bystanders at the party reported concerns about Nick’s behavior, which seemed erratic and alarming enough for some attendees to consider calling 911. However, O’Brien reportedly intervened, persuading guests against making the call that night. In the aftermath, Nick was arrested on Sunday and has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of his parents.
