OGDEN, Utah — A man has been charged with murdering his mother following a violent incident in their home. Alec Conrad Martinez, 25, faces several serious charges, including first-degree murder, a third-degree felony involving disarming a police officer, and a misdemeanor related to weapon possession.
The incident unfolded on June 19 when Ogden Police received a distress call from a woman in the home, panicking and shouting about a knife. The situation escalated as dispatch tried to gather more information, ultimately using the woman’s phone to track her location. As officers raced toward the scene, they encountered even more alarming cries for help.
Moments later, a male voice identified as Martinez confessed to dispatch that he believed he had killed his mother.
