EASLEY, S.C. — A tragic collision on Thursday morning claimed the life of an elderly man and left several others injured in Anderson County. The incident occurred around 11:45 a.m. at the intersection of Three and Twenty Road and Hendricks Road.
Authorities identified the deceased as 87-year-old David Bryant Wilson, who was traveling as a passenger in a 2007 Lincoln Sedan. The vehicle was emerging from Hendricks Road when it was struck by a southbound 2024 Kia SUV. The Anderson County Coroner’s Office reported that Wilson succumbed to multiple traumatic injuries and ruled his death accidental.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol, who are investigating the crash, noted that two teenagers in the Kia sustained injuries. Additionally, another occupant of the Lincoln was hurt in the accident. The severity of the injuries sustained by the teens and the additional passenger has not been disclosed.
