MADBURY, N.H. — Authorities discovered the bodies of four family members, including two children, at a home in this quiet Seacoast community on Monday night. State police arrived at the residence on Moharimet Drive around 8:21 p.m., where they found all four deceased individuals showing signs of gunshot wounds. Each was later pronounced dead at the scene.
In a contrasting turn of events, a toddler was found alive and unharmed at the residence. The child is currently in the care of other family members, according to officials. The Attorney General’s Office is investigating the case as a possible murder-suicide.
Assistant Attorney General Ben Agati indicated that investigators are striving to uncover the motives behind the tragedy. “They are left with more questions than answers,” he stated. The search for understanding is focused on a key question: Why did this happen? Agati noted that unraveling the sequence of events inside the home is critical to piecing together what transpired.
The investigation is ongoing, and detectives are taking their time to analyze the evidence thoroughly. Autopsies for the four victims are scheduled for Wednesday, with the identities of the deceased being withheld until relatives are informed.
