PERRY, Iowa – Today, the community of Perry is coming together to mourn the loss of eleven-year-old Ahmir Joliff, a sixth grade student who tragically lost his life in last week’s mass shooting at Perry High School. In addition to Joliff’s death, seven other individuals were injured, including the school principal, in the devastating incident that has shaken the small town.
The visitation for Ahmir Joliff will be held today from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Caldwall Parrish Funeral Home – Perry Chapel, giving friends, family, and the community an opportunity to pay their respects and offer support to Joliff’s loved ones during this difficult time. Following the visitation, Joliff’s funeral is scheduled for Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with overflow seating available across the street at First Christian Church.
