SAN MATEO, Calif. – San Mateo police have identified the family involved in a tragic murder-suicide case earlier in the week, where a father, mother, and their 4-year-old twin boys were found dead inside their home.
Anand Henry, the father, is reported to have fatally shot his wife, Alice Benziger, before turning the gun on himself. Their twin boys were found dead in a bedroom, and their cause of death is still under investigation, according to police.
The police department received a request for a welfare check at the family’s home after they had not been heard from over the weekend. Upon arrival, officers discovered the bodies of Henry and Benziger in a bathroom, next to a 9mm handgun registered to Henry. The cause of death for the twin boys is still pending pathology reports, as they showed no signs of bodily trauma or gunshot wounds.
Anand Henry’s LinkedIn account revealed he had previously worked for tech giants like Google, Meta, and Salesforce before co-founding an AI company last year. Meanwhile, Alice Benziger was a data science manager at the real estate company Zillow Group, based on her LinkedIn profile.
