Relative of Double Murder Suspect Arrested by Irving Police for Allegedly Aiding in Hiding Fugitive

IRVING, Texas – The Irving Police Department reported the arrest of two women in connection to a double murder, with one of the women being a relative of the murder suspect. The suspect, identified as Hector Paguada, remains at large. Police suspect the two women assisted Paguada in evading arrest following the murders.

Paguada is accused of fatally shooting 23-year-old Nayeli Bolanos Medina and 56-year-old Juana Medina Rodriguez on January 19. Despite the appearance of a domestic dispute, Irving PD emphasized that only Paguada knows the motive behind the murders.

On January 25, authorities arrested Nicolle Martinez Tome and Yudi Mabel Paguada Ruiz, both held responsible for tampering with evidence to hinder the investigation. While details regarding their assistance to Paguada remain undisclosed, it is confirmed that they were aware of the murders while aiding him.

With tips suggesting Paguada’s presence in the United States, Irving police, the FBI, and other federal agencies are collaborating to locate the suspect. Furthermore, authorities are working with the Honduran embassy, as Paguada is originally from Honduras. Past records reveal Paguada’s criminal history, including a sexual assault case in 2016, for which he served probation.

Tome was released on bail, while Paguada Ruiz is still held at the Dallas County jail on a $75,000 bond. Irving police encourage anyone with information on Paguada’s whereabouts to come forward, emphasizing the importance of even minor interactions as valuable leads.
