New York Murder-Suicide Victims Ornela, Gabriel, and Liam Remembered at Candlelight Vigil

WEST NYACK, N.Y. – A mother and her two sons, who were tragically killed in a murder-suicide over New Year’s weekend, will be laid to rest on Friday in Massachusetts. Calling hours for the family will be held on Thursday evening in West Nyack.
Ornela Morgan, 43, and her two sons, Gabriel, 12, and Liam, 10, were found shot in their New City home on Dec. 30. Clarkstown police made the gruesome discovery, along with the body of Bronxville police sergeant Watson Morgan, 49, who appeared to have taken his own life as well. Police have stated that they believe Watson Morgan killed his family before ending his own life.

The family was described as an active part of their school and local community. Ornela was born in Korce, Albania, and had pursued a successful career in education.
The Morgans will be remembered at calling hours at St. Francis of Assisi Church in West Nyack, followed by a funeral service in Worcester, Mass. The family has requested that memorial donations be made to Meals on Wheels Rockland, the 9/11 Foundation, and St. Mary’s Albanian Church in Worcester.
