COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – A mysterious and thunderous boom rattled a Colorado Springs neighborhood on Saturday night, leaving residents puzzled and authorities investigating. The startling noise occurred just after 8:00 p.m. near Otis Park, east of the Olympic Training Center, according to residents.
Nicholas Bufmack, a resident in the area, described the boom as “loud enough to shake the windows and rattle the house.” Meanwhile, Daniel Laguna, another resident, confirmed it was not a firework and saw a plume of smoke near the park after hearing the explosion.
Local authorities were alerted to the incident and are actively looking into the matter. Colorado Springs Police Department has not provided any official statement regarding their investigation, leaving the cause of the boom unresolved.
