MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A local resident has recounted a harrowing encounter that led to the death of a man attempting to break into his home. The homeowner, who wishes to remain anonymous, expressed his shock and sorrow over the incident, emphasizing that his intent was solely to protect himself and his family.
The confrontation occurred late Saturday night while the homeowner was in the bathroom. He became alarmed when he heard his mother’s voice raising in alarm. “I heard my mom scream, ‘Get off my porch before I call the police,’ and I was startled,” he recalled, feeling compelled to arm himself.
