Fort Myers, FL – Authorities in Southwest Florida are intensifying their search for a woman who allegedly violated her probation following a violent incident. Trish Route, manager of Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, highlighted this case as top priority during their weekly fugitive roundup.
The suspect, Arc. Weshida Brown, has been elusive since her probation breach, which stems from previous charges of resistance against law enforcement. Brown’s probation violation occurred after an incident where she was involved in a violent brawl with several women outside an apartment complex. According to witness accounts, under heavy influence, she retrieved a gun from her bag during the altercation and assaulted a woman with the weapon’s butt.
Following the attack, Brown barricaded herself inside an apartment, leading to a standoff that lasted several hours before SWAT intervention. Initially pleading guilty to the charges, she was sentenced to probation, which she subsequently violated. Brown, known for her multiple prior offenses, including battery and weapons violations, remains at large and is believed to be hiding in the Central Fort Myers area.
Another fugitive on Crime Stoppers’ radar is Macon Cypress, a 27-year-old notorious for evading law enforcement after failing to appear in court on a battery charge involving an infant and a woman. According to officials, during an altercation, Cypress harmed both the child and the woman, almost strangling her to unconsciousness. After a brief jail time, he was released under the condition of returning for his court date, which he ignored. Cypress has a long criminal history disrespecting law, including charges related to drugs and theft.
On a different note, junior Dominguez-Martinez is also wanted for probation violation connected to a severe case of domestic violence. Martinez’s wrath resulted in a female victim passing out after he threw plates in anger and aggressively assaulted her. Following his arrest, and subsequent seven-month incarceration in Lee County Jail, Martinez was placed on probation, which he violated.
In an unrelated case of abuse of trust, Nadia Henson finds herself wanted after she breached probation terms following her conviction for exploiting an elderly person and credit card fraud. Henson had misappropriated a senior citizen’s credit cards to make unauthorized purchases. Her arrest followed family members noticing dubious transactions which were traced back to her through surveillance footage.
Crime Stoppers continues to urge the public to assist law enforcement by providing any information related to these individuals, promising anonymity and a cash reward for tips leading to an arrest. With these fugitives still at large, the community’s safety remains at potential risk, highlighting the urgency of these ongoing searches.
