Man Slashed in Violent Street Brawl Outside Lower East Side Bowling Alley

NEW YORK CITY, NY – A violent brawl outside a Lower East Side bowling alley in the early hours of Monday resulted in a 21-year-old man being slashed in the neck, one of three violent street attacks in Manhattan within a span of fewer than two hours.

According to authorities, a verbal altercation between the victim and three other men escalated into violence as they exited The Gutter L.E.S. on Essex near Broome streets around 1:40 a.m. The victim sustained a severe slash to his neck and a cut on the top of his head during the altercation.

Following the incident, the victim was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he was initially in critical condition. However, by the early afternoon, police confirmed that his condition had stabilized. The suspects involved in the attack fled south on Essex Street, and as of now, no arrests have been made.

In a separate incident around the same time, a 37-year-old man was stabbed in the torso near 12th Avenue and West 34th Street in Hudson Yards, close to the Jacob Javits Convention Center. The victim was also taken to Bellevue Hospital and listed in stable condition.

The suspects in this case, described as a man and a woman, fled north on 11th Avenue. The male suspect is approximately 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, while the female suspect stands around 5-foot-3 and weighs about 150 pounds.

Earlier that night, a 23-year-old man was attacked by three strangers in Midtown, leading to him being slashed on two fingers and tased in the chest. The violence erupted around 12:10 a.m. on Sixth Avenue near West 47th Street.

Authorities revealed that a 23-year-old woman who intervened in the altercation had her bag stolen, which contained the phone of a 20-year-old woman. Another individual was tased multiple times but refused medical attention.

All victims, except for the man who was slashed in the neck, were not hospitalized, with no arrests made in connection to any of the assaults. Authorities are still investigating the motives behind these violent incidents across Manhattan.
