KOKOMO, Ind. – A 39-year-old man has been taken into custody by authorities on suspicion of the murder of a 44-year-old woman who disappeared in mid-January. Brandi Bradley was reported missing by her family on February 11, with the last known sighting of her in the 800 block of North Jay Street. The Kokomo Police Department revealed in an update that information in the case led to a search in a remote location.
Before her disappearance, Bradley allegedly made a social media post indicating concerns about John Christy. There were allegations of abuse towards Bradley by Christy, her co-resident with another woman. This included reports of multiple police responses to Christy’s home during the weeks leading up to Bradley’s disappearance.

Court documents detailed a dumpster search which revealed burnt debris and suspected human bones. Additional evidence was obtained from an individual who claimed to witness Christy’s disposal and burning of Bradley’s body. Further forensic testing on the suspected human remains is pending for confirmation of identity.
