LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio – Authorities have apprehended a 34-year-old man in relation to the death of a 29-year-old woman in Eaton Township late on Sunday night. Deputies from the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office were prompted to the 12500 block of Melody Lane around 11:12 p.m. where the tragic incident took place.
Upon reaching the scene, law enforcement officers discovered the woman inside the residence with gunshot wounds, and sadly, she was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been disclosed at this time.
The apprehended suspect has been identified as Clifford L. Serafine Jr., who was taken into custody following the incident. After being interviewed by detectives, he was transported to the Lorain County Correctional Facility where he faces multiple charges, including murder. Serafine Jr. is currently held on $1 million bond and is scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Elyria Municipal Court.
